jaws5.1 and the system tray

Hi all. I've been seeing this issue pop up a few times about jaws5.1 and I'm having the same issue. It seems to only be happening on winxp home machines. When ever I go to the system tray and right click like normal, it brings up the context menu of the desktop instead of what ever the item I clicked on in the system tray. It does this with every item in the system tray. Has anyone else on here had this problem? This seems like a bug in 5.1 but not for sure. Should I call fs? or does anyone here know how to fix it? Thanks.

Weird. My system tray on 5.1 works as expected all the time. Not sure what to suggest.

This is definitely something to be reported to F.S. I haven't seen this because I have Win XP Pro, but your description really leads me to believe there is a bug in the Jaws software and now that they're beginning to test Jaws 6 they should know about this and even then they should come out with a patch to fix it.

Seeing is how there's a handfull of people I've read about having this issue I think a patch should be made. I hope they just don't wait and put it out in the next release because jaws5.1 was my last free upgrade. Otherwise I will have to contact rehab to see if they are willing to buy my upgrade which I'm sure is no problem, but if they don't have to pay for it that would be wonderful.

wait... before you make a big mass of comunication with freedom scientific and make a lot of e-mail going and coming, there is a setting you would want to try: 1. Go to start menu. 2. Press S twice for settings, then t for the taskbar and start menu configuration. 3. Make the sure the next settings is applied: lock the taskbar, checked. Auto-hide taskbar, unchecked. Keep the taskbar ontop of other windows, checked. Group similar taskbar buttons, unchecked. Show quicklaunch, unchecked. Show the clock, checked. Hide unactive icons, Unchecked.
If this doesn't work, then demand freedom scientific.

I contacted freedom scientific and they said it's indeed a bug in jaws but can be fixed. They said tab until you hear system tray, then use your arrows until you hear the word button, then press enter. I haven't tried this yet but that's what they told me.
